1 pound ground turkey
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 can beans (kidney, black, whatever) - rinsed and drained
1 can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 oz can tomato sauce
1 cup dry elbow macaroni
1 can diced green chili peppers
2-3 tsp chili powder (I didn't have any and used chili seasoning...it was good!)
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
In large skillet, cook meat and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat.
Stir in all ingredients, except cheese. Bring to boiling, reduce heat. Simmer, covered, about 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender...stir often. Remove skillet from heat, sprinkle mixture with cheese. Cover and let stand 2 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
