Sugar Cookies

The BEST sugar cookies!

1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup oil
1-2 pinches of salt
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tarter
4 cups flour

Beat sugars, margarine, vegetable oil and salt very well. Add eggs and dry ingredients.
Chill for a couple of hours.
Roll out dough on floured surface (add more flour to dough if it is too sticky). Cut into seasonal shapes.

Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 minutes.


It makes a LOT. I usually make the full recipe for Halloween, freeze what I don't use and then pull out the rest for Christmas! It freezes really well...
